2nd Order - [Written / Action]
If there is anyone who knows what kind of plants do well here in spring, I'd welcome any recommendations.

[If one happened to notice, William Bush - a man who took such pride in his rank - wasn't wearing his uniform today. One could hardly expect him to wear the same thing every day when he had access to fresh water at the turn of a knob and more clothes than he could shake a stick at. To be perfectly frank, this was the wealthiest he'd ever found himself and he had absolutely no money to show for it.
Not that he was complaining about that. Restlessness, yes. There was only so much a man could occupy himself with before he went stir-crazy and started looking for plots of earth to make a garden in.
Yes. William Bush was going to plant a garden.
Which was why he was headed to the center of town at this very moment for seeds and implements with which to dig and such. If anyone remembered him from his earlier post then he'd be in some serious hot water.]

Yes.
[Ain't no shame in gardening, damnit.]

Grew up in a cottage not a town house, Kennedy.
[Then came the blacksmithing...and his first love: the navy. Bush grumbles this next as a way of excuse,]
Sisters.
[His go-to source of blame!]
Decided to build a garden when I enlisted; let all sorts of weeds and ...useless things grow. Didn't have much to do on shore leave except have them fuss so...took to tending it. Now I have nothing to do again.
Thought it might help.

[As long as Bush is the one doing it. Archie has zero interest in gardening, and he already does the vast majority of the cooking. He's grateful Bush is really considering contributing, even if food is free. Archie doesn't have to cook, either.]
[action]
[And he thinks he's being clever because there's a smile growing on his face now.]
Mind you I won't be planting any turnips.

[action]
[Because English cooking is soooooo superior.]
